Friends of APA
A volunteer group dedicated to providing support for Academy programs. The Friends of APA provide support for our programs, events, productions and scholarship needs. All volunteers are welcome. APA Friends Boutique
This year they will once again sell dancewear, T-shirts, sweat shirts and many gift items in the Friends Boutique located in the school office and in the lobby during school productions. All proceeds will benefit our scholarship fund.

Volunteer Opportunities
Here's what you can do:

Administrative
Folding and assembling brochures, inserts, programs, mailings, etc.
Special Events
Food preparation, baking serving, ticket booth, auctioneer, flowers, decorations, solicit donations
Ushers
Playhouse- 3 needed per show.... See shows for free!
School- 4 ushers needed per production
Public Relations
Delivering posters and informational material, 1-2 people needed per town: Orleans, Chatham, Brewster, Eastham, Hariwch, Dennis, Wellfleet
Artists
We always need painters, set designers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers, web designers, etc.
Gallery Coordinators
Helping to select and schedule artists exhibiting in our Playhouse lobby gallery. Assisting with display.
Concession
Selling refreshments at the Playhouse before performances and during intermission. Clean up coffee and refreshment area.
Facilities and Grounds
Cleaning (interior projects), painting (interior and exterior), yard work (spring/fall cleanups) and repairs. We always need electricians, plumbers, carpenters, etc.

Volunteer Spotlight
In our organization we depend on the kindness and tenacity of volunteers whose tireless efforts are an enormous part of our success. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Joy Faust whose exhaustive work has led to the running of a successful boutique that has consistently contributed to our scholarship funds. Joys' husband Pat replaced the exterior doors to studio B, purchased the materials and custom built the storage units for dance bags and belongings in our main dressing room area, and is in the midst of completing a new desk and layout for our front office here at the school. I am humbled by their support and generosity and thank them both on behalf of every student, parent, faculty and staff member and of course our leadership and membership.
