Dress Code Summer 2008
Weekly Workshops: Little Explorers, Adventure to the Stage & Musical Theatre Song & Dance: All students should wear comfortable attire that you can easily move in. Sneakers must be worn. No flip-flops.
Keep in mind our Little Explorers will participate in crafts.
Ballet Classes/Dance Intensives:
Pink tights, Pink Ballet Slippers, Solid Color Leotard. Hair in a bun.
Tap Classes:
Black jazz pants, T-shirt , tap shoes, females hair in a ponytail.
Jazz Classes:
Black jazz pants, T-shirt , jazz shoes, females hair in a ponytail.
Adult Classes:
Comfortable attire that you can easily move in, appropriate shoes for dance form and females have hair pulled back.

Creative Movement - Lavender Leotard*
Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled back
Kinderdance w/Tap- Lavender Leotard*
Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, hair pulled back
Level I & II -Light Blue Leotard*
Pink tights, pink ballet slippers, black tap shoes, hair in a bun.
Level III & IV – Royal Leotard & Skirt*
Pink tights, pink split sole ballet slippers, hair in a bun.(Pointe shoe will be recommended by instructor when student is ready to begin pointework)
Black jazz shoes, black jazz pants
Level V- & IV – Navy Leotard & Skirt*
Pink tights, pink split sole ballet slippers, pointe shoes, hair in a bun.
Black jazz shoes, black jazz pants
All ballet students
Leotard, pink tights, hair in a bun, pink ballet slippers (drawstring tied in a knot with the remains cut off, Pointe shoes (ribbons and elastics securely attached)
Male Ballet Students
Black tights, belt, black ballet slippers, white t-shirt, hair neatly groomed.
Kids Dance, Modern
Black jazz pants, leotard, Tank or T-shirt, bare feet and females hair in ponytail
Jazz
Black jazz pants, leotard, tank or t-shirt, black jazz shoes and females hair in ponytail
Tap
Black jazz pants, leotard, tank or t-shirt, black tap shoes, hair in ponytail
Teacher style suggestions: (taps should be attached w/ screws and not nails)
Elementary School: Capezio Mary Janes with the teltone tap and the velcro strap
Age 10 –12: Oxford tap with or with out the split sole
Teens- Capezio or Bloch split sole
Adult Students & Boys Movement

APA Friends Boutique
*These required leotards must be purchased at the APA Friends Boutique in order to insure uniformity for classes. Leotards and skirts will be part of the costume in the spring concert for those dancers performing. APA Friends boutique supports our scholarship fund!
